Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the travel of the headstock of a horizontal-type diesinking machine or the like such as a horizontal milling machine to largely lengthen without lowering milling accuracy by making the arm length between the pivot and the headstock longer than that between the pivot and the balance weight. CONSTITUTION:The balance weight 6 is linked with the headstock 5 by a rope 10 through a fixed pulley 9' and a driving pulley 13 installed to the upper part of the balance weight 6, one end of the rope 10 being tied to a rope-fixing metal member 14 on an arm 8.
