Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable simple repair of defective sealing parts of a storage battery which are due to any cracks or the like to be secured, by filling these defective parts with a sealing agent containing a given tackifier. CONSTITUTION:Airtight repair is performed on the defective sealing parts of a storage battery, such as cracks seen either in the lid or in a compound which is used for sealing the container and the lid, by filling these defective parts with a sealing agent having thickness at a normal temperature without exchanging the lid, the container or the like for a new one. As the former sealing agent having thickness, either a polymer or a copolymer or normal butene or iso butylene which is added with a resin system tickifier is employed. Here, in order to obtain good repair, the sealing agent after it is packed in the defective sealing parts is preferred to be warmed with a dryer or the like.
