PURPOSE:To generate a high-precision second signal by using a frequency-division output obtained by multiplying the frequency of a quartz oscillation output for a timpiece by a multiple of 25/64. CONSTITUTION:A 32768Hz oscillation output from a quartz oscillator 4 is processed by a 25/64 frequency-dividing circuit 5 provided with six stages of FFs, NAND gates, etc., to generate a 1280Hz frequency-division pulse having an output timing error of 0.1ms at a maximum. This pulse is processed by a 1/128 frequency- dividing circuit 6, provided with seven stages of FFs, etc., to generate a high-precision 1/100 second signal, etc.
