PURPOSE:To increase the color reproducibility, the sharpness and other factors, by bringing an electronic color separation to a transmission-type color original to obtain a 3-color separation negative or positive with a picture control already given and then printing the negative or positive successively to a multilayer color print material by means of each corresponding filter. CONSTITUTION:A desired color picture is printed by means of a transmission-type color negative or positive film original. In such a case, the 3-color separation negative 3 (yellow negative 4, red negative 5 and deep blue negative 6) of a positive original 1 are produced by an electronic color separator 2, and a desired picture control is given to each separation negative 3. Then filters 7, 8 and 9 are applied to the negatives 4, 5 and 6 respectively, and at the same time an exposure is carried out successively to a multi-layer color print film 11 and others. A register punch hole 12 is provided to each negative for exposure, and the hole 12 is fitted to a punch pin 14 on the rack 13 of the film 11 to ensure a high-precision printing in terms of a guess. Then the film 11 is developed to obtain a reproduced color picture of a high quality.
