Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply seal the end part of the hollow panel by a method wherein the end part of the hollow panel used for heat insulation is immersed in a liquid sealing agent of curing type and the liquid sealing agent is filled up and cured at the inside of the end of the opening of a hollow part.
CONSTITUTION: The hollow panel P, which is made of thermoplastic synthetic resin, consists of a number of ribs 2 formed monolithically and arranged in parallel between two upper and lower thin plates 1 and 1' opposed to each other and the inside of the panel is partitioned into a number of parallel hollow parts 3. In these ribs 2 cut parts 4 and 4' having required depth are formed beforehand. Next, tapes 5 for masking for removing the sealing agent are stuck on the outside surface of both end parts of the panel and both ends of the panel are treated by primer liquid. Furthermore, the end part on the side where the cur parts 4 and 4' are not formed is immersed in the liquefied sealing agent 6 of curing type to seal the end part and later the other end part provided with the cur parts 4 and 4' is immersed similarly and thereby sealed. After both end parts are thus sealed, the tapes are removed and the sealed hollow panel P' is obtained.
