Electromagnetic clutches 149, 150, and the row of gears for controlling change- over of drive of optical slit exposure system H are mounted collectively on auxiliary base plate 123 of the second unit N, thus permitting assembly and adjustment operations of the driving parts requiring precision to be carried out on a desk in the assembly steps of units M, N, assembly precision to be enhanced, and moreover, the total assembly line to be shortened and made efficient.
