Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable driving of a nail, a rivet, a screw and the like without any breakage thereby by a method wherein such processing as splitting in two sheets, sticking together or shaving-off of a surface layer is applied to the formed wooden chip board and a soft layer is formed on the side through which the nail or the like passes.
CONSTITUTION: In the wooden chip board 2 obtained by compression forming of wooden chips or the like by means of a heat press, upper and lower layers are made hard in comparison with an intermediate layer, while the soft layer (s) is formed in such a manner that it is held between the upper and lower hard layers (h), and thus chipping is apt to be caused in the lower hard layer (h) when the nail or the like is driven therein. So as to prevent the chipping, the soft layer (s) is formed on the side of the wooden chip board 2 through which the nail or the like passes. Concretely, after the wooden chip board 2 having thichness twice as large as required thickness is formed beforehand, it is split in two sheets at the part of the central soft layer (s), or a soft synthetic resin board, a wooden board or the like 3 is stuck on the surface of the wooden chip board 2, or one hard layer (h) on the side through which the nail, etc. passes is shaven off, whereby the captioned wooden chip board 1 is prepared.
