Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently adhere the selvage paper, by a method wherein the cord is superposed on perforations bored in an unprocessed selvage paper in a roll, wherein adhesive is previously applied for drying; the selvage paper wetted again with solution is folded double for holding an unprocessed electric recording stencil between the nip formed by the selvage paper so folded double; the selvage paper and stencil so put together are pressed together and sheared.
CONSTITUTION: The unprocessed selvage paper 20, which is previously applied with a solvent adhesive for drying, is perforated at about a center thereof by means of a sewing machine cutter 7, and the perforations, which are superposed on a cord 5', is wetted again by means of a solvent applying roll 9. The unprocessed electric recording stencil 18 in a roll is consecutively fed in parallel to said selvage paper 20, and is held between the nip formed by the selvage paper 20 folded double by means of a guide plate 12. The resultant work is pressed together by means of nip rolls 17 and is sheared to a specified size of the electric recording stencil by means of a rotary cutter 19. This permits an easy adhesion of the selvage paper 1, and besides, a product of high precision in size can be obtained.
