Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform processing by providing interchangeability to a software by translating the code of a printing data read out from a memory device to a printable code by way of an output code translator when said data is not a printable code. CONSTITUTION:The data read from a memory device 2 is arithmetically processed by an arithmetic control unit 1, and the printing data read out from the device 2 is held in an input register 31 by an output terminal control device 3 and this printing data is translated to a printable code by way of an output code translator ROM 32 and is outputted to a printer 4. At the time of making this operation, a printing command is outputted from the unit 1 to the device 3 through a bus line, and the printing data from the device 2 is read out by the control signal of the device 3 and is held in the register 31. Whether the printing data of the register 31 is printable code or not is inspected and if said code is an uncertain code, it is translated to a printable code by the translator 32 and is supplied to the printer 4.
