Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned light-weight panel form useful as wall material, etc., by changing rice husks and pulp slurry into moisture-contained mat by paper- making method and then carrying out heating/press forming and drying.
CONSTITUTION: 1,100pts.wt. of rice husks, 310W100pts.wt. of pulp and suitable quantity of water are stirred and mixed into slurry, preferably with addition of small quantity of auxiliary binder such as urea resin, melamine resin, polyethylene, various kinds of starch, cement, etc., either alone or in combination of more than two different kinds. Following this process, the slurry is prepared into moisture-contained mat by paper making method. Thus moisture-contained mat is formed with heat and pressure and then is dried to obtain required panel forms. These completed panel forms have extensive applications such as ceiling, wall, roofing, heat and acoustic insulation.
