CONSTITUTION: After a burner B is burnt with constant combustion heat simultaneously upon starting of supplying the hot water until the temperature of the supplying hot water reaches the using hot water temperature, it is intermittently burnt with the constant combustion heat through an arithmetic circuit C or the like. When a hot water supply valve 40 is opened, a supplying water flow rate detecting switch 7, a supplying water temperature detecting switch 8 and the arithmetic circuit C will simultaneously operate. The supplying water flow rate and temperature are inputted to the arithmetic circuit C, which thus calculates the initial combustion time t0 for the burner B and the burner stopping time t2 for the intermittent burner combustion.
