Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate insertion of originals irrespective of varying sizes by providing an original insertion guide member turnably from an overhang position to the position housed in the top surface of a body to a copying machine provided with an automatic original feeder. CONSTITUTION:An original insertion guide member 5 is mounted turnably by way of hinges 4 to the corner angle part 1b of the body 1 of a copying apparatus. One side face 5a of the member 5 is flat and a slope 5c is formed on the other side face 5b, so that the one end face 5d abuts on the side face 1c of the body of the copying machine and overhanges toward sideward and that the top surface 1a and one side face 5a becomes flush when the side face 5a turns so as to face upward. When the other side face 5b turns so as to face downward, the side face 5a abuts on the top surface 1a, and is housed in the top face 1a and slope 5c tilts and descends toward the inlet of an automatic original feeder 3. In this way, the original of a large or small size is inserted smoothly in the respective positions.
