Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of quality for a picture recorded on a film, by using the two picture buffer memories in switch and providing a rotary disk to cut off the afterglow for a device that records a digital picture on a film. CONSTITUTION:The luminous flux 391 sent from the light source 301 is modulated by a modulator 303, and the picture signals sent from the CPU200 are stored alternately into the two buffer memories in the interface 370 to be delivered alternately to the modulator 303 in the form of modulated signals. As a result, the nonmodulation period during which the modulator 303 gives no modulation to the flux 391. The modulated luminous flux 392 passes through the rotary disk 306 having an unevenness on its circumference. Thus the disk 306 cuts off the nonmodulated luminous flux at its convex part. Thus flux 392 scans a line of film via the rotary mirror 312. Thus the afterglow (nonmodulated light) can be reduced by switching the two buffer memories alternately, and the afterglow is cut off by the rotary disk. As a result, no afterglow is recorded on the film.
