Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the operation for inspecting injectors, by connecting switches in series to respective injectors in an injector actuating power circuit, and reading the change of vacuum by a vacuum gauge by opening and closing the switches one after another while keeping engine in operation.
CONSTITUTION: In inspecting the operation of injectors 8 used in a four-cylinder engine, connecting sockets 17 connected to the register (not shown) of an injector actuating power circuit are detached and mating terminals 15a of the main circuit 15 are connected directly by circuit 18. At the same time, switches 19 are connected between mating terminals 16a of respective branch circuits 16, 16 of the sockets 17. Further, a vacuum gauge 20 is disposed on the downstream side of throttle valve 10 in intake pipe 7. Then, engine is started while keeping the opening of throttle valve 10 constant. Thereafter, operation of injectors 8 is stopped one after another by opening switches 19 successively, and operation of injectors 8 is inspected by reading out the vacuum change caused by the closing of switches 19 by means of vacuum gauge 20.
