Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a transversal filter by detecting a coefficient of correlation in the base band and then by making the transversal filter actually operate at an adequate frequency. CONSTITUTION:A received FM signal, after passing through transversal filter 1, is led to and converted by frequency converting circuit 3 into a signal of the base band. The converted signal of the base band is supplied to autocorrelation circuit 4, which calculates a coefficient of autocorrelation. In accordance with the value of the calculated coefficient of autocorrelation, transversal filter control circuit 5 operates to control transversal filter 1, eliminating distortion of the received FM signal. A signal with the distortion eliminated is detected by passing through detecting circuit 2 to obtain a normal demodulated signal.
