PURPOSE:To realize a watch processing even in a service interruption for a watch using a commercial AC power source, by giving a temperature compensation to the oscillation frequency of an oscillating circuit within CPU in case a service interruption occurs. CONSTITUTION:In case the commercial AC power source 4 is supplied, the commercial AC frequency is applied to the CPU via the clock input circuit 6 and in the form of the reference clock. The CPU counts the reference clock and then displays the time on the display device 10 via the memory 2. In the case of a service intertuption, the CPU power source is switched to the backup power source 7. At the same time, the information of the temperature sensor 8 is supplied to the oscillating circuit 3 in the CPU via the A/D converter 9, and a compensation of temperature is given to the oscillation frequency. The frequency received a temperature compensation is used for the reference clock to be applied to the display device 10 through the memory 2. In such way, a watch processing is performed even in a service interruption.
