Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a sealing for the terminal part of a long-sized and flexible waveguide by the heat contraction of a heat contraction tube after mounting the fitting O-ring and said contraction tube onto the outer circumference surface of above- mentioned waveguide and the outer circumference surface of a sealing plate respectively. CONSTITUTION:The sealing plate 1 made of rubber or the like is attached to the terminal part 2 of a long-sized and flexible waveguide. The O-rings 6 and 7 are mounted onto each outer circumference surface of both the waveguide and the sealing plate. The heat contraction tube 8 can fit both the terminal part 2 and the outer circumference surface of the plate 1 after the heat contraction, and thus presses the rings 6 and 7 with the pressure of contraction. In such way, a perfect sealing is ensured for the terminal part of a long and flexible waveguide.
