Abstract

PURPOSE:To economically mass-produce a mixed medium having altered compositions by using part of LNG as condensing fluid in the process of obtaining evaporated LNG gas and mixed medium by separating and recovering each component of LNG. CONSTITUTION:In the process of batchwise distillation of LNG to produce a mixed medium from LNG, uprising vapor is condensed by use of part of the above LNG to provide fractions of low b.p. component essentially consisting of gaseous methane and high b.p. component consisting of ethane and higher hydrocarbons, which are obtained by fractional condensation. The above low b.p. component and LNG heated and evaporated by the condensation are collected and completely vaporized so as to be recovered as LNG evaporated gas. Meanwhile, part of the above-mentioned LNG is used fo sequential total condensation of the fraction rich in ethane and higher b.p. components and sequential recovery to obtain a mixed nedium.
