Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a dyestuff mixture providing deep blue color with excellent dyeability to a synthetic fiber, especially, polyester fiber and build-up property by coupling a diazotized amine with a specific coupler mixture.
CONSTITUTION: An amine compound shown by the formula I (wherein X is Cl, Br) is diazotized and this diazotized amine compound is coupled with a mixture comtaining a compound shown by the formula II (wherein R is methyl, ethyl) and a compound shown by the formula III to obtain a dyestuff containing 30W97wt% of a dyestuff shown by the formula IV and 70W3wt% of a dyestuff shown by the formula V. The coupling reaction of above-described diazo component with a coupler mixture is carried out in a neutral or an acidic medium, for example, in the presence of a buffering agent if necessary and, by filtering a precipitated dyestuff mixture, an objective dyestuff mixture is separated from a coupling reaction mixture.
