Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify an error diagnozing circuit by presetting a count number equivalent to the time between some point and an error occurrence point, by decreasing the value of a counter synchronizing with the clock of a data processor, and by generating error information when the count value reaches zero. CONSTITUTION:A count number of a clock equivalent to the time between some point and an error occurrence point is set in down counter 1 previously, and further a forcible error generation point is set in error register 3. As data processing progresses, the value of counter 1 is decreased synchronizing with a clock and once the value of counter 1 reaches zero, differentiating circuit 2 detecting the zero of counter generates a pulse obtained by differentiating a zero signal to apply the pulse to gate 4 which controls the transmission of the contents of register 3 to the data processor. As a result of the application of the pulse to gate 4, the error point set in register 3 is sent to the processor to realize the circuit constitution which facilitates a diagnosis of the processor.
