Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce steam unit product for a shaped coal and to save power consumption of a blower, by shutting an exhaust duct line led to a dust collector and placing a heat kneading chamber in an almost sealed circumstance during normal operation of a heat kneader.
CONSTITUTION: Extractor 14 is actuated upon the completion of first kneading after a determined amt. of a raw material for a shaped coal is fed into kneading chamber 1. At the same time, conveyer 17 and molder 18 are actuated, carrying molding material 5 to the molder 18 in which the material is press molded, to produce shaped coal 19. When the extractor 14 starts, electromagnetic damper 23 shuts exhaust duct line 13 by the actuation of motor 22 of the damper 23, placing kneading chamber 1 in an almost sealed circumstance. Heat supplied by the steam blown into the kneading chamber 1 is equal to the sum of heat absorbed by raw material 5 freshly supplied from feed tank 15 and that radiated from heat kneader K, so that the raw material for the shaped coal 5 is kept at a determined temp.
