Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively utilize each current collector apparatus up to capacity limit thereof by a method wherein plural current collector apparatuses are provided to the high current passing roll and independent exclusive power sources are provided to those apparatuses as well as a partial charge control circuit distributing a charged current to each current collector apparatuses is provided.
CONSTITUTION: The current collector apparatuses 2, 3 are provided to both sides of the current conducting roll 1 and rectifiers 4, 5 are attached to each current collector apparatuses respectively as exclusive power sources as well as, further, the partial charge control circuit 6 is provided. In passing a current of few ten thousand ampere to the current passing roll 1, because a current is applied to each current collector apparatuses 2, 3 by ordering each rectifiers 4, 5 with the partial charge control circuit 6 corresponding to a passing current order 9 and a current distribution between each current collector apparatuses is made uniform, the damage resulting from the overheating of the current collector apparatuses due to a current above a limit is prevented.
