Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the fixing of good efficiency with less radiation energy by reflecting the radiaton energy to a visual information surface by the light reflecting film provided to a visual information substrate. CONSTITUTION:A flash fixing device 3 consisting of a xenon flash tube4 and a reflecting mirror 5 are provided above an information medium 2. The medium 2 is formed into one body by superposing an electrostatic recording layer 7, a light reflecting film 8 comprising a thin film of metal, a substrate medium 6 such as paper and a magnetic recording layer 9. When the medium 2 is conveyed to a fixing device 3, the flash tube 4 repetitively flashe toward a visual information surface 7a. The luminous flux thereof transmits through the reflecting layer 7, is reflected by the light reflecting film 8 and is projected to the information surface 7a. By ths repetition of these, the radiation energy of the flash tube 4 is supplied to a visible image with good efficiency, thereby instantaneously fixing the developer. Thereby, the fixing may be performed at the energy 30-50% less than conventional systems.
