Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the captioned head which is capable of high speed recording without reduction of density and also of a gradation recording and a multicolor recording by providing heating elements in two lines between electrodes adjacent to each other of those arranged facing to the other on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Lead electrodes 3a3, 3a6,...,3b2, 3b5... alternately arranged opposed to each other, are arrayed to such extent that they are thrusted out on the other side. Then a resistance 2 is attached on the lead electrodes all over a prearranged region. After forming the resistance 2, only the resistance is cut off at an axis linking with a slit 6n by means of laser, etc. leaving electrodes intact, and resistances T1, T3,... T2n-1 and T2, T4,...T2n are separated. If a terminal 4b2 is turned ON at timing I, T1, T3 are selected by means of terminals 4a1, 4a2 and T2, T4 by 4b1, 4b3.
