Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a suitable piezo-oscillator for the acoustic measuring system by which amplitude shading can be made easily, by constituting one or both of the upper and lower electrode surfaces of a piezoelectric thickness oscillator, by use of a split electrode. CONSTITUTION:This piezoelectric thickness oscillator is 60mm. in diameter, 5.5mm. in thickness, is formed by use of ceramic materials consisting of Pb0.97Sr0.03Ti0.95 (Mn1/3Sb2/3)0.05O3, polarized in the direction of thickness, the upper surface electrode is divided into three in the coaxial circumferential form, and the lower surface electrode is polarized over the whole surface. The shape of this oscillator can be made square or rectangular.
