Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve a deceleration command precision, by a method wherein, in case a material is wound back in wound in a rolling line, a circumferential length, and the number of coil windings are operated for accumulation each time it is wound back, the number of windings at an optional point of time is found from said data, and a deceleration command is sent through comparision with an actual value.
CONSTITUTION: A coil length LR on a mandrel 1 at a starting time of deceleration is computed based on a line speed V, a surplus amount La of a remaining coil by means of a counter 8. The number of coil windings Ns, corresponding to the coil length LR, and a coil circumferential length Cs are computed by means of an operational circuit 10. When a comparision circuit 10 detects that the coil circumferential length Cs at a deceleration point of time is longer than an equal value to a coil circumferential length CCK under process, or when a comparsion circuit 11 detects that the number of coil windings Ns at a deeleration point of time is within an allowable range as compared with the number of windings computed based on the reference number of windings, a deceleration signal is outputted. This permits the improvement of the precision of timing for sending a deceleration command at a time when a material in a coil is wound back.
