Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a resin material from rising into an air vent, by a method wherein an opening in an air vent, which is open to the inside of a cylinder, is positioned at a portion where the resin material flows downward. CONSTITUTION:An opening 4, which is open to the inside of a cylinder 2, is made in an air vent 3 located at an upper portion of the cylinder 2. The opening 4 is positioned facing and opposite to a kneading screw 1a out of a pair of kneading screws 1a and 1b which is positioned on a rotating direction side at an upper portion of the screws 1a and 1b, i.e., a left kneader in a drawing. Meanwhile, the opening is positioned such that a center O1 of the opening 4 in the air vent 3 is placed in a position which shifts from an axis center O2 of said screw 1a in a rotating direction of the screw 1a. Moreover, a screw vane 5 of the screw 1a is provided with pressurizing vanes 6, which are pitched close together, and pressure-reducing vanes 7 which are pitched far apart. The above procedure prevents the flow of the resin material from rising into the air vent, and thus, permits the stabilization of a kneading quality of the material.
