Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a sufficient effect of diversity, by varying not only the amount of delay of the transmission signal but the timing of transmission and thus exercising control to ensure a constant timing over the data burst that passes through a repeater. CONSTITUTION:The means 244 to give a fixed amount of delay to the signal which is transmitted through an antenna plus the means 245 to give a variable amount of delay to the signal which is transmitted through another antenna are provided to the time-division multiple access (TDMA) communication system. Furthermore the means that detects the timing difference from the TDMA end office to the repeater of the route passing through each antenna is added along with the means 242 that controls the timing of transmission for the TDMA signal. Then the data burst is given to optional one of plural antennas, and the timing of TDMA transmission is varied in case the amount of delay is varied for the signal to be transmitted. As a result, the timing becomes constant for the data burst passing through a repeater.
