Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of tape end detection by making detection cams of a take-up reel and supply reel engaged with detection links respectively and by moving a detection cam plate engaged with a detection cam shaft through the engagement. CONSTITUTION:Reels 9 and 10 are provided with directional detection cams 30, whose ratchet pawls 30a is engaged with links 24 and 25 to move links 24 and 25 and through the operation, detection cam plate 17 is rotated in direction (h). Further, detection cam plate 17 is provided with pawl 17a and kick surface part 17c and this is engaged with detection cam shaft 16 with pawl 16a. Therefore, as a tape end comes, detection cam shaft 16 engages with detection cam plate 17 and then a slide switch is operated in direction (j), so that while the deviation of a tape speed and a wow and flutter are reduced, the end can accurately be detected.
