Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to change color in a short period of time and facilitate the maintenance and the inspection of the ink feeder by a method wherein ink from an ink can is fed by compressed air through a discharging pipe attached to the lid of the ink can and the ink can and the lid with the discharging pipe are exchanged when the color of the ink is to be changed.
CONSTITUTION: A main beam 12 and an auxiliary beam 18 are bridged in parallel to each roll shaft between frames 11 for the printing press which are established at the both sides of the printing press. A guide plate 13 and a rail 14 are disposed on the main beam 12 along the whole length thereof and a supporting plate 22 supporting a bracket 20 mounting the ink tank 21 is constituted so as to be movable by obtaining a driving force from a sprocket gear 17 under being supported by a roller 23 rolling on the rail 14. The ink tank 21 accommodates the ink can 32 therewithin and has an air-tight construction so that the ink is fed through the discharging pipe 33 attached to the lid thereof by forcibly introducing the compressed air into it. According to the above-described construction, desired amount of the ink may be fed at any desired position and the changing of the color thereof as well as the maintenance of the ink feeder may be facilitated.
