Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain a load at a constant level, when it is caused by direct contant between a movable body and a guide surface of a base in a machine shifting the movable body along the sliding guide surface, by the action of a pressure control irrespective of the increase and decrease of load acting on the movable body. CONSTITUTION:When a load 27 (weight; DELTAW) acts on a movable body 27 in addition the back pressure of displacement detecting fluid becomes PSO+DELTAPSO in response to a fine displacement of the movable body 13 on a guide surface of a base 11, and pressure in an upper chamber 33 of a pressure control 29 is also increased up to the same value. This increase of the pressure depresses a diaphragm 37 downward to lower spool valve 39 and increases pressure of pressurized fluid in a chamber 47. This increase causes the pressure supplied to a pressurized fluid supply groove 15 of the movable body 13 to be increased up to pr+DELTAPr. Namely, the pressure control 29 generates pressure DELTAPr compensating for load DELTAW so that the load caused by the contact between the base 11 and the guide surface of the movable body 13 is kept constant so as to maintain sliding frictional force at a constant value.
