Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) an ethylenically unsaturated compound which can be polymerized by free radicals and form a high-molecular compound by chain-propagating addition polymerization, (B) a 2-polynuclear aryl-4,5- diphenylimidazolyl dimer in which the substituent at 2-position of each imidazolyl ring is an aryl which is a fused ring of at least two aromatic rings, and (C) at least one member selected from the group consisting of leuco Malachite Green, N-phenylglycine and 2-allythiourea. As the dimer (B), there is preferred 2-naphthyl-4,5- diphenylimidazolyl dimer in which each of the 2-position substituents of the imidazoline rings is a naphthyl group.
