Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a composition having carcinostatic activity, and containing an iodine-rich egg as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: A carcinostatic composition is prepared by using an iodine-rich egg as an effective component. The iodine-rich egg can be obtained by feeding fowls with feed mixed with more than a specific amount of an iodine compound, pref. calcium iodate and/or seaweeds, thereby transferring the iodine into the egg. The amount of iodine is about 5W250mg/day, pref. 5W15mg/day per a laying hen. The iodine-rich egg has carcinostatic activity, and can be applied as it is or in the form of tablet, powder, syrup, etc.
