Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase copying speed by starting exposure before paper reaches resist rollers. CONSTITUTION:Paper 2 is sent from a paper feed part 1 by a copying start command. On arriving of the paper 2 at the point D, exposure is started from the point C of a drum 10. At the point of the time when the exposure start point turns from the point C to the point B, resist rollers 5 are revolved so that the paper 2 having arrived at the resist rollers 5 just before this is begun to be fed. The leading end of the paper and the exposure start point of the drum 10 match at the point A, and the toner image on the drum 10 surface is tranaferred to the paper 2. The need for making the paper 2 stand by with the resist rollers 5 is eliminated by making the time when the drum 10 reaches the point B from the point C and the time when the paper reaches the resist rollers 5 from the point D the same, thus there is no waste of time and the copying speed is improved.
