Abstract
PURPOSE:To coat exposed sections of the tube product without spoiling the appearance and to prevent layers from blistering and delamination under hot and humid enviromental conditions by a method wherein a bottom part of a heat-sealed part is cut to a predetermined size and thereafter the sealed part is heat-sealed again under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The tube having a multilayer construction including paper and aluminum layers sandwiched between thermoplastic resin layers is filled with contents and heat-sealed, and the bottom part of the sealed part is cut to the predetermined size. After the cutting operation, the sealed part is again heat-sealed at a pressure of 1-100kg/cm<2> and a a temperature of Tm-(Tm+100) deg.C, where Tm is the melting point of the thermoplastic resin constituting the outermost layer of the tube. The outermost layer is swelled and the resin coats the originally exposed sections with a sufficient structural strength.
