Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate looseness in fitting by a method wherein the radio is held by pinching it through leaf springs provided on the adaptor of the radio in case the car radio is inserted into and fitted to the adaptor after the radio adaptor, formed by bending a steel strapping into the shape of a gate, is inserted into the opening of a front panel for mounting the radio. CONSTITUTION:The radio adaptor 5 is inserted into the opening of the front panel 2 for mounting the radio provided on an instrument panel mounted in a cabin. This adaptor 5 is formed by bending the steel strapping into the shape of a gate and pinching protrusions 7, 7', projecting horizontally and inwardly from the upper and lower rims of both of the side plates 5b, are provided along substantially whole lengths of the side plates. Protruded parts 7a and recessed parts 7b are formed at the central part of the upper and lower protrusions 7, 7' and convex leaf springs 16 are provided below the protruded parts 7a. Such adaptor 5 is inserted into and fixed to the opening of the front panel, thereafter, the car radio 4 is inserted into and fitted to the adaptor 5 and is pinched by the leaf springs 16 thereby eliminating the looseness between the adaptor 5 and the radio 4.
