Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove water droplets attached to the fender mirror surface and ensure satisfactory back side field of view on a rainy day by sprinkling an aqueous solution of a surface active agent over the mirror surface from a pump.
CONSTITUTION: For removing water droplets attached to the surface 8 of a fender mirror 7 during running on a rainy day, an aqueous solution of a surface active agent 1 in a tank 2 is supplied through a pipe 9 to a sprinkling nozzle 6, and thence it is issued toward the mirror surface 8. In consequence, the water droplets attached to the mirror surface 8 is extremely reduced in surface tension and removed. Also, a thin film of the surface active agent liquid is formed on the mirror surface 8 to prevent subsequent attachment of water droplets. The mirror surface can thus provide satisfactory back side field of view for safe running.
