Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit the rearview mirror angle adjustment under remote conrol with the rotation of a handle provided within a car compartment by providing spherical slip bearings on the inner and outer sides of a rearview mirror holder and coupling both the bearings with a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A first spherical slip bearing 4 having a semispherical outer brace 10 and a truncated-semispherical shaft 12 fitted therein is provided within a stay 3 of a rearview mirror body 2, and a lower portion of the stary 3 is formed with a concave spherical surface 13 engaging the semispherical outer brace 10. A rod 8 is provided to penetrate these members. A cylindrical member 17 is secured to the underside of the shaft 12 such that a link plate 28 at the lower end of the rod 8 is supported by its end face. A casting 18 is provided on the inner side of a holder 1 mounted on a door panel or the like, and it accommodates an outer brace 19 of a second spherical slip bearing 5. A shaft 20 of the bearing 5 is provided with a rod 22 mounted on a handle 21 and a rod 23 mounted on the like, and it is coupled to the rod 8 via a link mechanism 6.
