Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a simple mechanism capable of converting linear reciprocal movement into intermittent rotary movement, by constituting the same by a rotatable member supported in a freely rotatable manner and having three or more projections at equal pitches along the circumference thereof and a linearly moved member having a pushing part and a stopping part.
CONSTITUTION: When downward movement of a linearly moved member 1 is started, a stopping part 6 of the member 1 comes out of engagement with a projection 3-3 and a projection 3-2 comes into contact with an inclined relief surface 9. However, a projection 3-1 is not moved at first by the function of clearance (a). When the member 1 is moved further downward, the lower surface of a pushing part 5 comes into abutment with the projection 3-1. Resultantly, the projection 3-1 is pushed downward and a disk 2 is turned. Here, the disk 2 is braked by a braking means 12 so that it is not turned excessively by the inertia. On the other hand, projection 3-2 can be turned freely by the function of the relief surface 9, with no hindrance of the stopping part 6.
