Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure phases, amplitures and the like of all elements composing an antenna at a high accuracy by measuring difference in the inputs between two sections of the elements previously divided at the center thereof employing a differential terminal of a hybrid circuit. CONSTITUTION:Radio wave emitted from an emitting horn 7 is applied to a hybrid circuit 9 by distributive adders 2a and 2b adapted to generate the total output of the elements previously divided into two at the center thereof passing through measuring elements 4 and nonmeasuring elements 5... other than them. Then, the wave received by those other than the elements 4 mostly enters a nonreflection final end via a summing terminal 3 of the circuit 9 and consequently, the level b of the wave received by the elements 4 of the differential terminal 11 exceeds the level c of the wave received thereby. This enables measurement with a amplitude/phase measuring device 6 at a high accuracy preventing the unwanted wave C from concealing the wave level b.
