Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the working efficiency for the subject sewing machine by a method wherein the sewing machine is driven at the low speed set in advance for the fixed period of time immediately after the start or stop switch is depressed. CONSTITUTION:When an ON position is given to a power source switch 2, the output 14 of a J-K flip-flop 61 goes up to a high level. Consequently, transistors 53 and 55 are turned to OFF position and transistors 52 and 54 are turned to ON, no gate current is supplied to a thyristors 17 and 18, and a motor 16 is placed in the state of nondriven condition. Then, when a start and stop switch 60 is depressed, the output 14 of the J-K flip-flop 61 is turned to a low level, the output 10 of a monostable multivibrator 63 goes up to a high level for a fixed period of time and an output 11 goes up to a high level after the lapse of a fixed period of time. Therefore, thylistors 17 and 18 are turned to ON at the continuity angle determined by a current IG1 and a motor 16 runs at a low speed and after lapse of a fixed time, the motor 16 is turned to ON position at the continuity angle to be determined by a current IG2 and the motor runs at the prescribed speed.
