Abstract

PURPOSE:To cause smooth forced ventilation in a ventilating apparatus, by dividing the inner space of fan casing into passages, disposing an impeller having vanes of different diameters in said respective passages, and using these passages for ventilation of room air as well as forced exhaust of room air and forced intorduction of open air. CONSTITUTION:When impeller 8 is rotated by motor 5, air a in the room is drawn into impeller 8 from suction port 2 whereas open air b is drawn from fan inlet 19 into impeller via air supply passage 15 in ventilating sleeve 11. Room air a thus drawn into impeller 8 is carried into fan passage 21 divided by partition wall 9 by vanes 7 having a smaller diameter. A portion of the air a is discharged to the outside of room via exhaust passage 18 whereas the remainder is recirculated into the room from outlet port 3. On the other hand, open air b drawn into impeller 8 is carried into fan passage 20 by vanes 7a having a larger diameter and blown into the room also from outlet port 3.
