Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A 2-propanol derivative of formula I [R is lower alkyl, naphthyl, or phenyl which may have 1W3 substituents (lower alkyl, lower alkoxyl, lower alkylthio, nitro, cyano, halogen, phenyl, dilower alkylamino and lower alkanoylamino groups; X and Y are O or S; n is 2 or 3].
USE: Useful as remedy for diabetitis or local anesthetic having a hypoglycemic and a local anesthetic actions.
PROCESS: A 2-propanol derivative of formula II is reacted with carbon disulfide to give the compound of formula I. The compound of formula II is a novel compound and is obtained from a halogen compound of formula III and a diamine of formula IV.
Substituted propargyloxyacetonitrile derivatives, process for production thereof, and herbicide and agricultural-horticultural fungicide comprising said derivatives as active ingredients.
Methyl-substituted tetrahydro-2-pyrimidinone derivatives, process for their preparation and their use as herbicides, as well as intermediates for their preparation.
