Abstract

Thus the 1st levers 12 and 12' shift from the position (a) to (b) while stretching the tape 2 to be locked finally by a toggle effect of the springs 19 and 19'. In this case a coincidence is obtained between the inserting slit 21 for reel driver of the adaptor 8 and the center of rotation of the reel hub part 3 of the small cassette reel 9. Accordingly the cassette insertion is impossible to a video tape recorder or the like unless an assured tape loop is formed. This prevents a misoperation to ensure an assured operation.
