Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a tread rubber composition for tires with extremely reduced rolling resistance without damaging frictional resistance on a wet road surface, by utilizing a specific high-vinyl polybutadiene.
CONSTITUTION: 20W100pts.wt. High-vinyl polybutadiene rubber having a vinyl structure at least 40wt%, preferably not less than 60wt% is blended with 80W 0pts.wt. blend of natural rubber or synthetic polyisoprene rubber and styrene- butadiene rubber. A high-vinyl polybutadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature -70°CW-20°C, preferably -50°CW-20°C and a trans structure in a range of 30W10wt% is preferable as the high-vinyl polybutadiene. A three component blend of natural rubber, synthetic polyisoprene rubber, and styrene-butadiene rubber is preferably used.
