CONSTITUTION:The data in the picture memory 11 is a binary picture in which the inside of a circle is ''1'' with the background of ''0'' respectively. Then the variations of ''0'' ''1'' and ''1'' ''0'' are detected through the end point detecting circuit 2 out of the data that is read out of the memory 1 in the form of a data row with every line. This position of coordinates is put into the processor 3 to obtain the middle point for calculation. The data memory 4 stores the data of the end point obtained in the horizontal and vertical directions. Using this data, the end point data memory 5 is obtained for a reference circle that uses a longer diameter given to the rough centroid for the radius.
