Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent passengers from being injured by the heat exchanger for accidents, by inserting partition plates between straight tube parts of the heat exchanger of the heat exchanger for car cooler and by inserting and soldering corrugate fins in both sides of these plates and by pulling out partition plates.
CONSTITUTION: Partition plate 3 is inserted between straight tube parts 1a adjacent to each other of the zigzag heat exchanger, and corrugates fins 2 are inserted in both sides of plate 3. After the heat exchanger is tightened by jigs 10, 11, 12 and 13 to bring bent parts of fins 2 into contact with straight tube parts 1a or partition plate 3, bent parts of corrugate fins 2 are soldered to straight tube parts 1a. Then, jigs 10W13 are removed and partition plate 3 is pulled out to complete the heat exchanger. In this case, materials which are not wetted by the solder material are used for partition plate 3. Thus, the gap between straight tube parts 1a adjacent to each other of the heat exchanger becomes narrower due to impulsive force at the collision time of the car to prevent passengers from being injured.
