Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the voltage drop due to the internal resistance of a battery and stabilize the action of the clock circuit by connecting coils in series for driving a plurality of motors carrying out a plurality of displays and distorting the phase of driving pulses supplied to he driving coils. CONSTITUTION:Signals of pulse width of 625m/sec are delivered at every two seconds to the output line 96 of an NAND gate 44 and the output line 98 of an NAND gate 46. When the former half of a negative pulse of the output line 96 has been applied to a predriver 60 and a driver 66, the signal from an output line 106 is low, and the output of an output line 98 is high, and hence a potential difference is produced only at the driving coil 74, and a drive current flows therethrough. At the latter half of the negative pulse of the output line 96, the output line 106 becomes high, and the output line 98 becomes low, and therefore only a motor 38 is driven. In the former and latter halves of the motors 40 and 38 are respectively driven and one second stepping of the hand is carried out.
