Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform jumping movement rapidly and stably at the track jump- scanning by applying the energy for jump-scanning from the track under tracing to a light beam deflector thereby deflecting the light beam. CONSTITUTION:The light which comes out of a light beam generator 1 passes through a lens 2, and changes the direction of its optical path by a half mirror 3, is forcused by an objective lens 4 and is projected onto an optical disc medium 5. Now if it is assumed that the light beam is tracing the 1st track y1 and that the electric signal A1 is applied to a light beam deflector in order to jump-scan the light beam to the 2nd track y2 at the time t1 in time axis, the electric signal A1 is supplied as energy A to a galvanomirror. At the time when the light beam crosses the 2nd track y2, the electric signal B1 equivalent to A1 or lower is applied to the light beam deflector and is supplied to the galvanomirror, then the galvanomirror stops around y2 and the light beam can track the 2nd track without causing any position deviation.
