Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate reference positioning in installation to rotatable body, by enabling rotary slit plates or light transmitter-receivers to be fixed at optional positions freely movably around the encoder shaft of a rotary encoder. CONSTITUTION:Since light transmitter-receivers 7, 8, 9, and 10 are freely movable around the encoder shaft and can be fixed at optional positions, even if the coupling 5 of encoder couples with coupling 6 of the rotatable body at optional angle, the adjusting and fixing are executed by handle 14 so that transmitter-receivers 8, 10 for reference pulse are aligned to the slide 3 for reference pulse, when the coupling side 6 positions at the reference point, therefore the reference positioning is facilitated. Even if reference point of side 6 is plural, the rotating angle of handle 14 can be easily determined by pointer 15 and angle indication plate 16. In addition, when rotary slit plate 1 is made freely movable and enabled to be fixed at optional position instead of the light transmitter-receivers, the same effect can be obtained.
